I immediately gravitated to the intentional reading that Symposium embodies.  Reading these great works not only opened my mind to new geographies, but set me on the path to self-discovery.

Miryam hails from Paso del Norte, and now lives in San Antonio. With a microbiology undergraduate degree, and a Master’s in Public Administration from City University of New York (CUNY), she came to the study of the Classics as quickly as she could.

She is a governmental relations consultant, life and career coach, and writing a poetry memoir.  She has over 15 years teaching in higher education, the last four as adjunct faculty at St. Mary’s University in civic engagement and social justice.
